About Northern Sami

Northern Sámi is spoken in the north of Norway, Sweden and Finland. With an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 speakers it is the most widely spoken Sámi language, and it is official in the Sámi administrative areas. UNESCO classes it as definitely endangered.
