About Romansh

Romansh is spoken in the canton of Graubünden in south-eastern Switzerland. About 60,000 people speak it, and it has been a national language of Switzerland since 1938. It has five regional written varieties plus the common standard Rumantsch Grischun; UNESCO classes it as definitely endangered.
