About Welsh
Welsh is spoken in Wales and by a small community in Patagonia, Argentina. The 2021 census counted about 540,000 speakers aged three and over, and surveys suggest more people have some Welsh. It is an official language in Wales, and the Welsh Government aims for one million speakers by 2050.
